A$25.00

The Sprout Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to enhancing the lives of women and children in disadvantaged communities through sustainable programs in agriculture, education, climate change, and entrepreneurship.

The Foundation's mission is to improve the socio-economic lives of women and youth in underprivileged communities, contributing to a self-reliant Malawi and African continent. It focuses on four key areas, including economic empowerment, agriculture and climate change, quality education and training, and research and advocacy, with a vision of a world where all citizens share opportunities equally and contribute to the economic well-being of the nation from a household level.

The Sprout Foundation was inspired by the need to address the literacy gap and promote education for girls.

The Sprout Foundation has already implemented various programs that have impacted the lives of many people in underprivileged communities. The Foundation has reached a total of 584 girls through its motivation and mentorship programs in secondary schools, while its climate-smart agriculture programs have impacted approximately 118 households in Msundwe, Lilongwe. In addition, the Foundation's women's baking program has reached a total of 20 participants who acquired baking skills, and five of them are now running their own bun baking business using the charcoal oven at the Sprout Foundation offices. The women's tailoring academy has reached 33 women who have acquired tailoring skills, and two of them are currently employed as tailoring tutors under the Foundation.

The Sprout Foundation’s focus areas is also in providing sustainable menstrual hygiene management products to girls and women. To support its beneficiaries, the Foundation has requested 300 Grace Pad’s Store, Wash and Dry kits. This effort aims to ensure that monthly periods do not stop women and girls from being productive.
